A look back at our participation at Japan Expo 2025
With over 200,000 visitors in 2024, Japan Expo is one of Europe’s biggest shows dedicated to Japanese culture. For our very first participation, we presented our Mio sparkling sake, which was a dazzling success! This popularity confirms the growing interest of consumers in Japanese gastronomy, and more particularly in sake, which aroused the curiosity and enthusiasm of visitors in search of authentic experiences.
Discover Mio, the sensationalsparklingsake
For 4 days, we showcased our best-seller: the sparkling sake from the emblematic Takara Shuzo brewery. With its low alcohol content, this festive, refreshing product with fruity notes of apple and pear won over a wide audience! Visitors lined up to taste it, ask questions and take bottles home, so much so that we completely sold out by the end of the show.
This enthusiasm testifies to a real interest in sake, long perceived as confidential, which is gradually making its mark on the French gastronomic landscape.
A boost for restaurant owners
This trend goes far beyond the walls of the exhibition: many visitors expressed their desire to know where to enjoy sake in France. A strong signal that integrating sake into your menu is more than a simple upgrade, but a real strategic asset. It enables you to meet a growing demand, offer your customers a unique and distinctive experience, and attract a curious clientele eager for new trends.
Sake exports have been growing for over 20 years, and France is now Europe’s leading importer. The phenomenon is no longer marginal: it reflects a deeper cultural shift toward Japanese gastronomy.
