A look back at the 2025 European Fair for Sake and Japanese Beverages
L’Atelier du Saké had the pleasure of participating once again in the European Sake and Japanese Beverage Fair, held from October 4 to 6 in Paris.
This edition stood out for its greater diversity of Japanese products on display: teas, spices such as sansho pepper, and many other culinary discoveries.
We also took advantage of this unmissable event to unveil our new products:
Our new products at Salon du Saké fair
Toko Junmai Ginjo Genshu left a lasting impression on visitors with its unique bottle and can formats. This sake comes from Kojima Sohonten, a family-owned brewery founded over 400 years ago in Yamagata and historically known as the official supplier to the prestigious Uesugi samurai clan. With a rice polishing ratio of 55% and an alcohol content of 16%, it reveals a fruity, smooth, and well-balanced profile. Its versatility allows it to pair beautifully with rich fish, white meats, or vegetables, and it can be enjoyed either chilled or warm.
Kokushimuso Junmai Sweet also attracted visitors‘ interest. Produced in Hokkaido by Takasago Sake Brewery, founded in 1899, this Junmai sake is distinguished by its lightness and refinement. With 60% rice polishing and an alcohol content of 12.5%, it reveals delicate aromas of white peach. Served chilled, it pairs perfectly with sashimi, white fish, and fruit desserts.
Toko Ginjo Umeshu has won over consumers with its originality and freshness. Also produced by Kojima Sohonten in Yamagata, this umeshu has an alcohol content of 11.5% and stands out for its roundness and ripe fruit aromas. Mellow and balanced, it can be enjoyed neat with an ice cube, in a cocktail, with meat dishes, or as a dessert. Renowned for its excellence, it is currently the only umeshu to have won three international competitions.
A meeting place dedicated to Japanese sake
Beyond showcasing our new products, this event was also an opportunity to meet both professionals and individuals eager to learn more about sake.
The diversity of visitors was remarkable: some enthusiasts were looking to deepen their knowledge, while others were discovering this iconic beverage for the very first time.
Our sake sommelier, Maryam Masure, together with the sales team, was on hand to guide and advise each visitor according to their interests—further strengthening our role as a key ambassador in promoting sake culture.
