Maximize your success during sporting events this summer!
As you know, a major sporting event will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024, followed by another major competition from August 28 to September 8, 2024. Restrictions will begin to apply from July 15 in the cities concerned, before being gradually extended. A return to an “almost normal” situation is expected between the two competitions, although some restrictions will remain in force. We’ll be at your side to help you get ready.
Prepare your establishment for the summer season
With 15.3 million visitors expected, according to the Paris tourist office, it’s crucial to prepare your establishment. Many customers will be attracted by the ambience of your restaurant and the cosmopolitan dishes you offer, while others will be looking for fast menus and group discounts. In fact, wherever your restaurant is located, you may see visitors, families and workers turning into “tourists” before or after events. Adjust your opening hours to accommodate the influx of customers during sporting events. Analyze your sales and plan extra stock, especially for essential products like rice.
Plan your logistics needs in advance
One of the main challenges this summer will be traffic and accessibility to delivery points. Restrictions will apply from July 15 for the cities concerned, with a possible partial normalization between competitions. Find out more about your area on the government’s interactive map:
- Red and grey zones:
Delivery from 10:30 pm to 5:00 am
- Blue and white zones:
With keys, delivery from 10:30 pm to 12:00 am
Without keys, delivery from 5:30am to 12:00 am
You can provide us with the keys to your establishment for deliveries without disrupting your schedule. Anticipate your orders and avoid unforeseen events by telephone. A transport desk will be open from 9 pm to 9 am to answer your questions at transport.valenton[@]foodex.fr.
Optimize your space layout and prepare your staff
Ensure optimal organization and collaboration from the outset. Plan schedules and vacations in advance. Recruit multilingual staff if necessary, and maintain team cohesion by organizing in-house events and rewarding your employees. Clarify roles and responsibilities to keep things running smoothly in the kitchen. Invest in shelving to handle extra stock and reorganize your space to accommodate more customers. Decorate your restaurant to make it attractive and maximize customer traffic. Install screens to broadcast sporting events, which will attract more customers.
Update your social networks to attract more customers
Did you know that, according to Neo Restauration, 40% of consumers consult social networks when they don’t know what to eat? Publicize your offers by posting attractive content on your networks, such as previews of your dishes and menus. Register on reservation and delivery platforms to increase your visibility.
Foodex will be at your side to support you during this festive period. We’ll do our best to meet your expectations despite logistical constraints, and we’re counting on your understanding too.
